For those of you who don't know we moved in with Jeff's parents right after Jeff's graduation. They are graciously letting us live in their basement so we can save up some money for our move to Denver, and not be completely broke when we get there! We live up in Farmington, and at first I wasn't sure about not having my own home, but its been such a blessing. Since I work full-time and Jeff studies full-time for his CPA exam, there is little time left to cook, clean, and just take care of a home. We still help out with chores and projects, but I don't have to cook dinner every night and I must say the dinners we have taste SOOOO good! We will be happy to have our space again, but for now this is the perfect arrangement for us.
My work is going great. I picked up the ropes pretty quickly and it seems that everyone is pleased with what I do. I look forward to going to work and even though 10 hours can be long some days, its worth it to have three-day weekends every week! I work with a fun bunch of people that make me laugh all day long, and its so rewarding to hear the thanks from the patients we take care of, that always makes me feel really good about my job.
Jeff has been studying diligently for his CPA exam and has taken two of the four sections already and is planning on taking the next two in July and August. It will be great to have that out of the way before he starts working because I'm sure it would be harder to do with a full-time job and even harder to go back and do later.
To sum us up right now, we are working hard, having fun, and enjoying the last few months of living close to family (even is sometimes its too close).

Yeah I already knew most of this, but I'm glad to catch up and read your blog. When exactly are you planning on moving?

btw we are already planning to visit you guys in Denver next summer on our way back to the west. I've actually been trying to talk Brigg into doing a rotation there, but who knows
ReplyDeleteWe still don't know exactly when we are moving. Jeff's work has still yet to decide when he is starting. It will be either September 16th or October 16th, and they should tell us SOON. Will will let everyone know as soon as we do.
