JOBS JOBS JOBS

So I feel frustrated at how many jobs I have applied for in the past year. Let's look back on it shall we? Last summer I looked for a job that I could apply my knowledge of the human body in the health care field. That didn't work out so well but I did get a great job at Grandview Family Medicine working as a "Day Care Assistant" (really just a nanny for the doctors kids). It was full-time and the kids loved me and the girl I worked with was awesome! Then...the economy sank and they had to let me go for financial reasons (they eventually shut down the day care) and in January I had to start another job search. Then (after applying for at least 100 jobs and after at least 15 interviews) I got this horrible job at a Call Center at the end of January which only lasted a month or so, and was absolutely horrible I will never do it again.
So I quit when I got the job at the American Fork hospital. I currently work at the Gift Shop there and it is really fun. I get to make burgers and shakes and get to peruse the merchandise every time I work and get to talk to doctors and nurses about medical stuff.
But we have to move to farmington at the end of this month to save some $$$ in order to move to Denver in August. So basically I need to find a new job for the summer in Farmington somewhere for only 4 months and THEN again in Denver when Jeff starts his job. I am grateful for the jobs I have been able to get because they have paid the bills for us and I have learned a lot from each one. I am just so tired of applying and applying and applying for jobs...and then not being able to use my bachelors degree that I spent 4 years getting. Well, thanks for letting me vent, I'm done now and am sure that I will find two more jobs when I need to and enjoy both of them...hopefully.
Any advice you have to speed up the application process or anyone you know in the Salt Lake area who wants a hard working girl like me, let me know!!

  2. Thanks Brenda. But something tells me Jeff wouldn't go for that and I'm pretty sure you can't afford me. :)
